Virgil Van Dijk

5. Pre-match activity to get you going?

Before games, I usually talk to my loved ones as i get dressed, say some positive and encouraging words to the players and myself, crack a few jokes here and there to brighten the mood in the camp, then i pray and head out for the warm up

6. What motivates you to play for the Titans?

The team is like a brotherhood, a community where I feel welcome, appreciated and respected. 

The hunger to perform and talent within the squad motivates me to wear the Titans jersey proudly every matchday. 

Vienna has a legacy when it comes to sports and we are here to maintain it.

6. Funniest moment during training?

When Travis scores, he won’t stop reminding every one of how he scored the goal.

7. Who’s the team’s hype master?

I would say myself because I tend to communicate before, during and after the game, passing on instructions, encouraging teammates and etc

8. If you weren’t playing football, what sport would you try?

I actually have a decent understanding and skill set of a variety of sports but I think I would lean towards Volleyball or Motorsports

9. Favorite thing about Vienna College Namugongo alumni?

The unity within the community 

10. Message to the alumni community in one sentence?

 Let’s root for eachother and watch eachother grow.
