Vienna College Alumni; The Role and Power of the Alumni Community

Welcome to the Vienna College Alumni Community.

This is a space to reconnect, share opportunities, celebrate our journey together and reconnect through stories and updates.

The Role and Power of the Alumni Community

1. The Alumni Community as a Leadership Force

Vienna College alumni represent decades of leadership development and collective impact. When alumni collaborate, they don’t just share experiences they create scalable change. Examples include:

A fintech startup delivering microloans across East Africa.

A scholarship fund supporting dozens of university students.

Over 200 student internships and entry-level placements enabled through the network.

This is more than networking it is “leadership at scale.”

The alumni community holds immense potential: economic power, accumulated expertise, and thousands of success stories ready to inspire the next generation.

2. The Importance of the Alumni Community

Vienna alumni are excelling globally in boardrooms, hospitals, classrooms, and homes. What binds them is not just success, but community. The call is to mentor, fund scholarships, offer internships, and share stories that ignite hope and confidence in today’s students.

3. Academic Growth & Collective Legacy Growth is measured not only in titles but in impact.

Each alumni achievement builds a collective legacy. As African professionals and global citizens, Vienna alumni must lead in global discourse from AI and climate change to entrepreneurship and governance.

4. Sustaining the Legacy The 25th anniversary marks a new beginning.

"This 25th anniversary is not the end of a chapter, it is the start of a new one. And it is ours to write."- Prof.Rachel Mindra Katoroogo (Class of 2002)

Alumni are called to:

  • Reconnect and collaborate.
  • Contribute expertise and resources.
  • Mentor and inspire.
  • Support the school through scholarships and engagement.
  • Document and share their journeys as part of Vienna’s living story.
“The future belongs to leaders who build bridges, open doors, and create opportunities for others to walk through"- Okello Baldwin (Class of 2003)
