For me, some of those moments trace back to Vienna College Namugongo; specifically, to the celebration of Eid. On those mornings, the school felt altered, as though it had exhaled into something softer, warmer. The usual routines loosened their grip. Laughter traveled more freely. There was a lightness in the air that you could feel before you could name it. We spent the day dressed in Islamic cultural wear, a small but meaningful shift that seemed to draw everyone into the spirit of the occasion. It was not about performance, but participation.
